That's BS! This case would have died long ago if he was bribing his way out of it. So if you believe that he's the one who killed the deer and deserves the 5 year sentence, I would assume that you believe that the rest should also receive a sentence, albeit a shorter one and not be acquitted. After all they were with him and were accused of encouraging him. You can't just believe in justice against one person.

Also how is he being let off easy in this case when you don't hear of anyone else (regular folks) being sentenced for 5 years of poaching?

I'm sorry but in this particular case, the sentence is too harsh.

He will surely get bail. Why I can tell because had he been convicted on Friday and send to jail he would have been there till Monday but now he's gonna get bail on Friday and this case will drag around.
