thanks for this information. We can do our best to take care of ourselves but the truth is we all have to die. Her time came too early. She looked healthy don't know what went wrong.Rest in peace.

this topic was made due to serious concern that Hippo had..that God forbid if someone collapse in front of me and it happens to people i know then am I prepared? can i help? somehow i felt helpless..suffocated.. and i wanted an answer and i shared here so if anyone has same feeling they have some info...even i know its unlikely that it will help much since we are talking about 10% survival chance. ..i did 5 hours of research and read articles and videos..

this is situation where doctor will come later..ordinary people have to do something...so they need to be doctor

u instead of contributing started taking digs as we are trying to be doctor. and that too when u dont know who are u talking to...thats why hippo over reacted...anyway

and @ attention. there are people who run after attention

then there are those like Hippo where attention runs after them

still if u were not serious and i over reacted ...i am sorry. u already know i liked u as a member...

Note few points

Concept is this

- Person falls down

- responds..means pulse is there and breathing. not that serious

- does not responds...starts CPR

- CPR is not the solution...call 911 or located defib which I am sure not there in many places

- so what you can do is CHEST COMPRESSION...which is making heart to pump blood while helps comes...u can get tired...but at rate of 100/min u have to do it. blood is circulating...

- mouth to mouth breathing can be provided if u know how to do it..but its not main thing

- main thing is compression...

eventually medical helps needs to come ..or u have to take patient while doing all this
