After playing an army man in his latest film
Aiyaary, Sidharth Malhotra is ready to take
up a military role once again. He will soon
be starting work on Kargil martyr Captain
Vikram Batra's biopic Param Vir Chakra. This
will be the first biopic that Sidharth will be
starring in ever since he debuted in Karan
Johar's Student Of The Year. To this,
Sidharth said, "A biopic needs to mean
something. As an actor, I need to feel the
connect. A biopic is not a fictitious story. It
is based on a real person and I think one
needs to handle that with a lot of sensitivity.
The character that I'll be playing next is very
sensitive and his story is also quite
touching. When I was approached for the
film, and they spoke to me about the
character, I felt it means a lot to me and I
have so much respect for him.
When asked about how he decides on the
films he wants to do, Sidharth was
confident about his choices and elaborated,
"In these few years, I've consciously made it
a point to not repeat myself or choose the
easy route. All my films have been different.
When I came to the industry, being a young
actor, this was my way of standing out,
where I'd try new things and not just bold
and edgier films. And I'm happy with the
choices I've made, though some worked,
and some didn't.
This is not the first time some one is playing
the character of Captain Vikram Batra.
Before Sidharth, Abhishek Bachchan had
played the same character in LOC Kargil.
When asked about taking reference from
the film, Sidharth said, "Yes, Abhishek
played the same character, but I don't think
I'll watch the film because it wasn't a
biopic.

playing biopic he has a huge competition in form of Ranbir's Dutt... If Ranbir has really imitated Dutt to the hilt then it will be more difficult of Sid to match it, esp with his lack of talent.

if the producers are using their personal money then its fine..
else RBI should investigate these scams as well to ensure
that the producers are not trying to fake bankruptcy to
deprive ROI of public investment in their companies as
seriously sid has no market viability..the statistics has proved
it already by now..

Another flop for Sid. Why do people keep wasting their money on him?

More info please.

I always found it strange that people would invest in mainstream films from large film companies that would most likely flop.

Tax evasion?

yes ..
there is more..
movies themselves do not make much money..
loss or profit does not even matter..
it is merely used to make white money black n black money white
according to the need of the specific customer (read as investor)
for example say D gang wants to convert their black money to white so
show ur movie is a super hit..there is absolutely no transparency
regarding actual investment or earnings ..u can always fudge the balance
sheets n say movie earned well from overseas even if it tanked at domestic
market..take for example money won from IPL or share market or properties..
just put it to these xyz film producers..they will charge a percentage to make
ur black money white..n vice versa
now say u have made a lot of white money n now u must try evade the taxes..
so easier way is make some flops n claim ur loss..so previous profit less or
equal to to current flop that way debit credit is balanced off..so tax evaded
successfully..

movie making is the best industry for dishonest ppl to convert their currency
into any form they wish to..
some films which were pretty mediocre earned lots beyond expectation
just after demonetization ..it may not be attributed to ppl actually liking the movie..
its main cause could be some ppl were mainly busy turning black to white ..
(who is there actually verifying the actual income from all over the globe?audit can be bought)
they might have actually exchanged their notes via other means n now
using movies to reflect it back to good books n safely depositing it in bank.
