I think the aim here is to make a Fast and Furious franchise out of Race not a suspense thriller - if this suceeds there will be 4,5,6 with Salman being the Vin Deisal

I see many people are pissed off that the makers would might change the tone of the franchise drastically and understandably so.

But Race 2 was panned critically and wasnt a big success either. Keeping that in mind it would might not be wrong to start the series afresh with a much more saleable star.

Yes it would might play more like an action thriller than a suspense drama but even the last installment was high on style and low on substance.

Having saif and abbas mustan would not had guaranteed success.
