What does yami lack?

I think it's not having enough charisma and that IT factor. She is an actress that is way too vanilla, if that even makes sense. If she wants to be noticed, she needs to go wayyy out of her comfort zone and just surprise people with a memorable and bold role. Otherwise, she is going to stay forgettable and replaceable as harsh as that sounds IMO.

Hmm. Well, that's a dilemma. I was thinking her picking a role that would be more critically acclaimed and not necessarily in the lead. Though I'm sure she doesn't want to let go of her lead position in any way. Another way is to try women oriented cinema like Shraddha is doing. I don't think it's such a bad idea for her do it since she is a good actress as you say.

Secondly despite being a pretty face she for some reason looks older than her age to be. Also she gives off tv heroine vibes.

BTW she got a movie with Shahid and Shraddha and I am pretty sure she will be better than her . Have you seen any of her work? I think she is in the same phase like Our Kangy was where no roles whatsoever .

Unfortunately, I haven't. My movie watching quotient is quite low. 😆 But I have heard good things about her, definitely will try checking her out. If she is in the phase kang was, I think best thing for her would be to reinvent her acting, or maybe not exactly reinvent it but take it up a notch. That's what Kang ended up doing before she came back with Queen. Not that Yami is not good right now, but I think there is always room for more improvement and just to have that edge acting wise always get you noticed more. Though obviously, not everyone can reinvent themselves that way, so I hope she chooses roles that can showcase more of her talent. I'm looking forward to her new movie with Shahid, had no idea Shraddha was also in it. That sounds like a fun combo, I might just check it out when it comes out. 😳
