Too Many Cooks

Ranbir Kapoor is a huge believer in Karan Johar's acumen as a filmmaker. Naturally, he wanted a special screening of his upcoming Dutt biopic to be held for Johar, to solicit his views. But what really impresses us is director Rajkumar Hirani's humility about not just showing the film to Karan but also his openness to supposedly making changes in the film!

Apparently, Hirani is also keen that his film on Dutt does not appear as an image-cleaning exercise for the controversial actor, and he was eager to know Karan's views post the film's screening. What's more, Karan has apparently also recommended a few changes. Earlier too Hirani had gone ahead and re-shot a few scenes on the suggestion of Ranbir, who is on pins to ensure the film is absolutely perfect.

This biopic could be his big-ticket hit after a long line of flops and he is extra jittery to ensure nothing goes amiss. Buzz goes that when Ranbir recently showcased bits of Sanjay Dutt's biopic to Johar and others, the group enjoyed it thoroughly. There was laughter galore at some of the portions which showcase Sanjay Dutt's early life. And predictably Ranbir's performance in the biopic came in for some serious praise. An earlier preview held for a group of exhibitors and distributors had also seen praise galore come in for the Kapoor, as the film was pegged to change his game in Bollywood.

"I am really keeping my fingers crossed for Sanjay Dutt biopic, it was an altogether different experience shooting for the film, Ranbir has said. "I can't imagine and believe how much can a man go through hell in one life. He has paid for his deeds, made mistakes and got everything in this life. While filming there were times when I would observe him a lot, talk and walk like him but then I started to distance myself from him. After the image and look of Sanjay Dutt was released it was appreciated, but the role that I am portraying is not an act. I hope everyone likes it. Wish we could tell him, like Dutt probably would: "Bhidu, just chill.
