She's not even MIA in the first place. Unless it's related to her design work, she detests being in the media. SRK has mentioned in interviews that since Gauri hates the photographers and media and all the noise and shouting, they usually take separate cars and stagger their entries by 5-10 minutes so she can go in peacefully without all the hullabaloo around SRK. They leave together at the end because usually the paps are gone by that time. Once in a blue moon, they are still there and you get pics like this...

He's mentioned that he hates it but that even his kids sneak in through back doors or hide behind his security guys so they can stay away from the cameras. He even issued guidelines to the paps to please not take pics of Aryan and AbRam because both of them hate it. Only Suhana is okay with it.
