Nobody is stereotyping cultures. Even in the same community, there can be different practices in weddings. Maybe the person who said it might have seen that in weddings. I have also seen that, not only in punjabi in others too. Notes have a lot of usage in our weddings lol.But my point is they're just having fun, y to judge on that and why bring class everywhere? I agree. I like 6, Ballygunge Place and the fantastic Chital Muithya they make. But apart from that, all gourmet Bengali restaurants are BAD. Homemade Bengali food is far superior. I never go out to eat Bengali food due to how average it is in restaurants. Ya I have Punjabi friends as well and I like them but I don't really relate to them. Punjabi men tou are THE WORST. Plus the general northie culture is SO look/money obsessed. I find it very weird.

Never gone to 6 Ballygunge place despite how close it was to our school.

I have visited Bhojohari manna ,Kasturi and Bhooter raja dilo bar in Jadavpur CIT market.

The latter 2 had worst taste, while the first one was experimental food that I didn't like.

Plus the north men are also very misogynist towards women- more so than the regular Bengali men by thousandfolds
