Ajeeb ajeeb cheezen read karne ko milti hai IF pe. People generalised a whole culture just to justify Anushka putting money in her mouth. Ab shaaid log bole ghe ke nahi, uske liye special banknotes banwae gaye the. With 0 germs and all. 😳

Smoldy: I never knew hygiene is such a high-class expectation!

Maha: Completely agree. IDC which culture endorses it/hates it, to me, it's an extremely cheap & tacky thing to do & I shall voice it & IdC who gets offended.

I am a Gujarati and I haven't seen this type of dance in single Gujju wedding. So I don't know. It's not common.

I hate Middle class being made fun of. The other thread was way judgmental. So I voiced it too.

And I am as middle class as it gets. But I don't like this money in mouth thingy. Very very cheap. It has nothing to do with middle class.

I've sen this in a couple of weddings not every couple dances with notes in their mouth..
And LMFAOO why the eff people are generalising north indians and weddings ??
Being a south indian i've to say i enjoy north indian weddings more because their pre ritual and post ritual ceremonies are so different and fun and this money in mouth dance is common in south too why bash people and their culture for a simple thing if u dont like it ignore it. Their money their choice
Congo to both bride and groom
And for those who are dissing north indian culture/middle class people yada yada
I wish unki shaadi me gharati aur barati sb mooh me note rakh ke naache 😉

i am a punjabi but we don't do that in our weddings
may be more of an indian punjabi culture than pakistani..i don't know

it is her reception and she can do anything in the world she wants to..as long she is happy

but lets not stereotype cultures here just to justify that dance with money in mouth..i really doubt that is a dominant cultural thing..i may be wrong though..
