Jaya hands down. One koshish was enough. She and Sanjeev Kumar are the best acting couple!

Undoubtedly Jaya bachhan. She is more effortless and natural. Even in a fleeting appearance in the recent ki and ka she stole the show from everyone including ABsr.

defintely jaya just go n watch abhiman or even sholay where she barely had a dialouge in sholay it was all acting n emoting with her eyes

Jaya of course and by miles...Watch the movies like Mili, Abhimaan and even Chupke Chupke...She just stole the show in every screen that they were together in these movies...

i liked Amitabh more than Jaya in Mili...Amitabh's angry drunk guy act was topnotch..kinda overshadowed Jaya in the film for me..even Hrishida in one of his interviews said how he was angry at Jaya for not being serious abt her work in Milli and made her do the dubbing without seeing the scenes as a punishment😆

but i agree with everything else you said..she was amazing in koshish and she and sanjeev kumar who was a powerhouse performer himself complemented each other perfectly..i also liked her in Guddi..her debut movie..

she def overshadowed Amitabh in Abhimaan...her subtle portrayal of a wife's suffering cos of her husband's ego was brilliant..even though i like Amitabh too in the film..such an amazing film that was...

my problem with Amitabh is he never took risks esp when he was on the top or did films out of his comfort zone the way sanjeev kumar did...but Jaya did a lot of challenging roles in the short career span and had much more memorable roles to her credit
