Sridevi is all set to return as shashi in english vinglish's sequel.

In 2012, Sridevi had made an impressive
comeback with Gauri Shinde's slice-of-life
film English Vinglish. The film not only
garnered critical acclaim but also became
huge box office success. Now, five years
down the line, it is rumoured that the Mom
actress has given a green signal to star in
the sequel of this film. As per a Mid-day
report, a source informed, "Sridevi indicated
that a collaboration is in the offing when the
film completed five years last month. She
shared a picture of Gauri and her, and
wrote, Coming Soon'. They were supposed
to come together for a woman-centric light-
hearted comedy earlier, but the story was
not fully developed. So they shifted their
focus to the sequel.
In 2014, when the rumours of the English
Vinglish sequel had surfaced, both the
ladies, Sridevi and Gauri Shinde, had denied
it. However, both maintained that they
became great friends during the shooting of
English Vinglish and would love to work
together again. The source also revealed
that Sridevi hasn't signed any film after Mom
as she wanted to keep her dates free for
Gauri Shinde's film. "She takes her time
mulling over scripts and selecting them,
which is why her second innings has seen
only two films, but both of them critically
acclaimed ones at that. She might do a
cameo in Janhvi's debut, but her next
project will be with Gauri. The film will kick

During an interview, when Sridevi was
asked about the sequel, she replied, "It's too
early to talk about it. There's something
happening. We will talk about it when things
are concrete. Sridevi was last seen in Mom,
which garnered huge critical acclaim and
performed decently at the box office.
