Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt's Aashiqui 3 pushed further?
Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra's Aashiqui 3 will reportedly take off late as focus shifts to Sadak 2.
Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt are in news for being roped in for Sadak 2 which will also star Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. The two were earlier said to have signed Aashiqui 3 too, however, seems like the project has been put on the backburner.
According to reports, the two might just focus on Sadak 2 first as the makers still need some time to work on the script for Aashiqui 3.
Even as Sidharth is yet to sign the film, the chances of seeing the two lovebirds together in the film are very very high.
Earlier, a source revealed to a leading tabloid, "Earlier, there were speculations that Sidharth and Alia are doing Mohit Suri's next directorial project, Aashiqui 3, but the film has been put on hold. Instead, Vishesh Films has cast them for Sadak 2. While the film's director is yet to be finalised, they want to finish the casting process so that the film can go on floors soon."
Recently, Pooja spoke at length with a leading daily's weekly magazine about making Sadak 2 and revealed, "The story will start from where we left it. It is difficult to imagine Sadak without Maharani (played by the late Sadashiv Amrapurkar), but it would be incomplete without Sanjay Dutt."
Meanwhile, Mahesh had said to a leading tabloid, "Sanjay who was 32 when we made the original, comes back as a 54-year-old Ravi into the 21st-century world that is collapsing in front of his eyes, where the distinction between the house and the sadak' is fast disappearing. The story has the emotional connect of the films I made back in the '90s which brought a lump to the throats of the viewer. I could see that in the reaction of those present at the narration. They were visibly moved."
