Vidya is looking really obese these days and that isn't good. She looks swollen and is bulging from all the sides and I think that is really unhealthy. Yesterday I saw her in big boss and oh my I was taken aback looking at her. She is in a bad shape.

I like the roles she is taking up mostly. Because of ehalth issue probably she is not taking up younger roles. But she was mocked when she played young girl type role in Kismat Konnection. She was ridiculed a lot for the clothes she wore in the movie .

that is sad but treatable

there are meds for hormonal imbalances or thyroid issues

just ignoring it is not really a solution..just how you ignore a disease but it doesn't go away..it gets malignant..

the way she struggles to catch a breath in her interviews..it is just not healthy..and she should live her life her way but make sure health is not being compromised..

yea, that was really sad, but it wasnt her fault if the team selected those outfits for her.

That's really sad..

Imagine trying so hard to lose weight and it's not even in her control and still have to face these jibes on her body. For her sake, I hope Tumhari Sulu is a hit, so she will get some more strength.

What's wrong in doing aunty type role? Doesn't people like her exist in India? She is representing a chunk of real people that do exist in our society. She is 38 and still getting meaty role coz of her talent. It's her body, her choice, let her decide how she want's to lose her weight. We should refrain from being a sizeist, who knows what she is going through.

though I do agree a little losing weight is cool..but ur aunty type role is degrading

On bold. During Kismat Konnection, she was young and healthy (and thinner than Parineeti, Sonakshi). It was just that, media was nasty.

Yes, the clothes were not good. But idiot Manish Malhotra could not accept his fault and blamed her body for that. (As if, we Indians have always adored size zeros. We had preferred Kajol over his favourites Karishma/Urmila. Kajol became his favourite later). Added to that, Kareena got into size zero for an year. Suddenly there was a hoopla over size zero. People with healthy bodies (like Vidya) were mocked.

Tashan tanked. Kareena put on weight again by 3 Idiots time. Size zero hype also died.

In Bollywood, some people get praised no matter what. Some people always gets criticised. I felt bad for Vidya then. I liked her in that movie. It was a hit. Still she could not get any credit. (Same with Amrita Rao). But people who delivered flops were hailed as superstars.

To me, Vidya from Parineeta to Paa is the classic Indian beauty. I remember a photo of her with Aishwarya during Paa's promotion. To me, Vidya looked more beautiful than Aish then. (Aish's face/eyes are not exactly classic Indian like Vidya's).

I know. Post Silk, her issues with weight started. Knowing her health condition, she should not have risked her body to increase by twenty kilos. Add to that, other health reasons. I understand her, accept her and respect her.

Not everyone goes to watch a fighting hero or dancing (young/petite) girl. But story should have the pull, like Irfan's movies these days. They are fresh, lively and do not require a conventional hero/heroine to pull the movie. I wish Vidya could do such movies.
