Underwhelming after that fantastic trailer. Deepika was good but the song is not good. It is not energetic like Nagada nor is it entrancing like Deewani Mastani. It is somewhere in between, dangling. Only thing working is Deepika and Shreya's voice. The song is not bad it is just not good enough.

Should have released a better song.

For the first time, I felt Deepika did a folk dance with adaa and nazakat. She always has great expressions but sometimes her movement can feel like a high energy aerobics workout.

Here, she really captured those deer like movements and femininity Indian women are know for.

Song- Guess it will grow on me with time.

Was the choreography authentic? Never seen a Ghoomar dance, hence asking.

The colour palette is similar to BM which was one of my biggest grouses but I could forget that. I also really liked Shahid's subtle change of expression from pride to worry when Padmavati takes the diyas in her hands. Masterful use of his eyes.

the lehenga DP wore here was beautiful. 2 coloured lehenga. I won't be surprised if it becomes popular in fashion like DP's deewani mastani dress.

For those who have no idea about Ghoomar yet make low level comments.

ver a period, the dance form gained wide acceptance and became popular. A characteristic dance form of Bhil community, Ghoomar has evolved into a community dance form in which the Rajput community too participates with much enthusiasm.

Ghoomar is usually done during the Teej festivities. However, it's also performed during other festivals and important occasions. Ghoomar is extremely simple to perform and the dancers have to move around in circular motion with clockwise and anticlockwise steps being taken in tandem. The tempo of Ghoomar reaches its peak as synchronization of steps with music is done.

Considered to be a traditional ritual of Rajasthan, this dance is also performed by the bride after she is welcomed at her husband's home.

Ghoomar dance form has been traditionally promoted by Bhil community in Rajasthan. It was also performed by the royal ladies of Rajasthan in ancient times. History has it that the Kachhwaha Clan of Rajputs defeated Bhil community. However, later both communities decided to enter into a peaceful pact and decided to live in harmony.

The dance form slowly got associated with royalty in Rajasthan as ladies started performing it on special occasions.
