Akshay was just a regular star until he started the obvious right-wing bootlicking. And now the Manoj Kumar patriotic movies one after another.

Parties are important for smaller stars because that is where people meet and network and discuss future projects and casually offer roles. All this doesn't really happen in offices and boardrooms.

And yes, Karan Johar is much more powerful than Hrithik and more vengeful too. There were a lot of rumors that it was Johar and team that got Arnab Goswami out of Times Now.

Yes Johar got Arnab kicked out of Times Now after Arnab did Newshour specials on ADHM and called filmmakers anti national for supporting Pak artistes.

Johar is more vindictive and powerful than Roshans IMO.

Political links make stars invincible. Amitabh had producers favour him over a superstar like Rajesh Khanna because Indira Gandhi herself wrote letters to producers to cast him.

He benefitted a lot from Nehru-Gandhi clan and later Samajwadi party and when he saw trend shifting he started endorsing Modi. His political links are unlike any other star in India.

See how Anupam Kher, Vivek Agnihotri are benefiting from BJP now. Kangana Ranaut can start using Manikarnika to her advantage. RW will adopt her and her movie for promoting Indian History. Just as RW adopted Bahubali.

RW hates Khans and Johar anyway so they will likely adopt Kangana if she goes to them.

Kangana foolishly spoke against her own family and background otherwise even Rajput groups could have supported her.

She has been way too outspoken and 'mod' for a country like India 😆

But if casanova comedian Akshay can turn his image around by 360 degrees then why not Kangana? Manikarnika can be great opportunity for her. Make or break film if you ask me.

Absolutely. At the end of the day, the box office matters. KR's films are flopping right now so it's easy for these industry folks to shut her out. But if her films start doing well, oh they will surely run towards her again😆

Long story short ...as long Kangana can keep the box office busy ...she will be alive and kicking in BW ...forum doesn't represent the movie goers universe ...no one has vela time to keep tab or do so much manthan...review good ...WOM good ...movie becomes a hit.

I read Akshay gets calls from RW all the time to rein in 'bhabhiji'.

Twinkle now says he first reads whatever she writes and only then allows to send it for publication.

Even if films flop still links keep a person afloat in India. That's how non entities like Anupam Kher, Vivek Agnihotri have certain power now.

Akshay became so called icon and was even given National Award for best actor just because he is pro RW. He is getting kind of respect now that he never got earlier.

Political links trump mere BO anyday. Ask stars who've gone extra lengths to build connections to political parties. 😉
