Padmavati has been facing a lot of trouble
ever since it was announced. With two
incidents of vandalism being reported
already, the makers fear that the movie
might face some law and order situation,
especially in Rajasthan.
However, Union Minister Smriti Irani in a
conversation with Karan Johar assured that
the State Government will very well handle
the situation and will make sure everything
is in control.
"I am sure law and order will be under
control. The State government will ensure no
miscreants disrupt any kind of interaction or
display. I don't envisage any problem. If
there is any challenge, the State government
will meet it, Irani told Johar when he asked
about the filmmakers facing political
pressure.
The Union Minister further explained that
the BJP leaders have a better work at hand
to do then discuss just one movie. "It is
usually miscreants without cover who create
such controversies. If law and order is the
issue and a filmmaker communicates the
problem clearly, then it is taken care of. To
say that something will happen is a localised
fear, she added.
Well, this surely will act as a relief for the
makers.
Padmavati stars Deepika Padukone, Shahid
Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the lead role
and is slated to release on December 1,
2017.
