Did Ranbir Kapoor FLAUNT his SINGLE status on his BIRTHDAY for Mahira Khan?
After certain pictures of the two actors went viral on social media last week, there has been speculation that Ranbir Kapoor and Pakistani actress Mahira Khan are more than just good friends. While Mahira is yet to speak about Ranbir Kapoor, the actor stood by her side after the actress drew flak for the pictures on social media. We hear Mahira has been keeping a low profile since then. Ranbir threw a party the night before his birthday and we hear that the star invited mostly couples to the party and mingled with everybody present there. There was no special someone for Ranbir on that night.
Says a guest at the party, "Ranbir wasn't with any girl at the party and nor did he talk to any one girl alone. There was no young, pretty, single girl present at the party except Alia Bhatt. There were people like Kajal Anand, Kiran Rao, Gauri Khan and Kunal Rawal's girlfriend. There were no single girls in the first place. People have written about there being a Delhi girl in his life. There was no girl at the party that he cozied up to or held hands with. It was as if Ranbir wanted to show everyone that he was unattached and without a date at his own party and he was perfectly happy about it.
The source adds, "While there have been reports that he walked around hand in hand with a young girl throughout the party and didn't talk to anybody, truth is the Ranbir spoke to literally everyone. It was anyway such a small group. His school friends including Imran Khan's wife Avantika and writer Ayesha Devitre were there, and the rest of us were in three-four groups sitting around. One group was watching football. Ranbir walked in and out from the football room but there was no mystery girl. All his close friends who were in town were there. Alia and Ranbir too have been linked together in the past but it was all rubbish. They are just good friends and now soon-to-be-colleagues in Ayaan Mukerji's Dragon. Alia stuck to Karan Johar during most of the party. Many of his friends expected Ranbir to be with a girl but he flaunted his solo status quite happily. Usually Ranbir is always in the company of pretty girls but this time, maybe he wanted to show his good friend Mahira that he was not romancing anybody at his own party and proving he was faithful to her.
