Varun Dhawan feels Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are the real stars.

Varun Dhawan has marked his record of
delivering good films in the industry. The
actor has touched stardom in all forms and
ways and continues to entertain the
audiences with his upcoming releases.
Varun who is currently gearing up for the
release of his film Judwaa 2 which also
stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee
Pannu feels that the star tag is being taken
too causally in the industry today.
Speaking about the same, Varun told a
leading daily, "The term star is totally
misused today. I think the media makes
anyone a star these days."
He further added, "There is a difference
between liking someone and being mad
about someone. You need mass hysteria to
be a superstar. From Rajesh Khanna to
Amitabh Bachchan, and even Salman Khan
and Shah Rukh Khan these are real stars.
This is a tag that we should not give away
too easily,"
Varun closed it by mentioning a rather
strong take on today's actors taking to
stardom. He said, "People always love us
when we are at public events. They are
hooting and whistling, but this doesn't
translate into box-office success. I don't
think people who come to see you at events
always come and watch your film. The
millennials are shaken if they are criticised.

I don't think we can really compare Varun's success ratio with older generation because Varun career is only 5 years old but older generation has career of 25+ years.
Its highly likely to have high success ratio because he has done only few films than older lots. :)
