i always found this song the most difficult of early 2000 time period offcourse saathiya and mera rang de basanti is their but this is something ahead of its time

^^Anu malik great work from that era . this one was anu most challenging composition of 2000 and anu said sonu nigam recorded this song in just one take even though sonu was not feeling well that day but he sang it in single take recorded it and went back to home

I would say satrangi re - is one of the most difficult songs to sing - vocally, coz of the continuos voice modulations and the ever changing beats, and the kind of expressions it requires, but I'm not sure .. is it early 2000s??

Next for me has to be Mera rang de Basanti chola.

Like in the above mentioned song - kismat se tum- or - Rabba mere rabba -the range is phenomenally high making it difficult to sing!
