Milind Dhaimade's directorial debut feature, Tu Hai Mera Sunday, has all the elements that should give the audience the perfect Sunday feeling, taking them back to an era where a great story was told through real-life situations and real characters. Depicting a story about five recreational footballers and their everyday struggle in Mumbai, the film had its World Premiere at the 60th BFI London Film Festival and its Indian Premiere at the Jio MAMI 18th edition in 2016.

The film is about five unlikely friends looking for their own little space away from the tension of their high-stress urban lives. Tu Hai Mera Sunday is one-of-a-kind, light film about urban middle class living in most metropolitan cities in India today and how each one deals with their own physical and emotional space. It is a story about understanding, hope and a feeling of positivity amidst the chaos of life. We have grown up seeing films like Katha, Chashme Baddoor, Golmaal and filmmakers like Basu Chatterjee, Hrishikesh Mukherjee and Sai Paranjpe owning this space of light-hearted entertaining and breezy films.

Over the years, Bollywood movies and their memorable lines have reminded us how life is meant to be enjoyed. Not all were realistic nor did they exactly fit in the inspirational genre, but they were simple, human and relatebale and Tu Hai Mera Sunday shows today's urban middle class men in a real, contemporary and factual way.

Produced by Varun Shah, the film features an ensemble cast, including Barun Sobti , Shahana Goswami, Rasika Dugal, Vishal Malhotra, and Maanvi Gagroo and fresh talent like Avinash Tiwari, Jay Upadhyay and Nakul Bhalla.

Tu Hai Mera Sunday is produced by Love & Faith Films and is scheduled to hit the marquee worldwide this Friday, October 6.
