I just watched Sachin biographical movie, its very well executed. No words to describe the movie. If you havent watched it then watch it and experience the sweet journey.

Well, depends on your take.
Dhoni's movie was a MOVIE. Sachin's film was more of a documentary. So the comparisons aren't fair in a way. I guess I prefer Sachin's movie because it was more 'real.' And it was all in Sachin's perspective, if you know what I mean.

I saw both of them in the theater and i felt Sachin's movie was more real. The morphing of ssr's face over Dhoni's in the match videos just ruined the essence.

It's individual preference... I liked Dhoni better just as I like Chak De more than Dangal... I maybe in minority here though

There are many portions in the film where Sushant has played those shots himself , wicket keeping portions etc and they have been placed into the real match footage. Morphing has been used very less.

I preferred Dhoni''s movie though I like Sachin more as a cricketer. Sachin's movie didn't add to anything I already knew. Also I'd seen most of those matches about 10 times so it was like watching a replay on the big screen.
Ive noticed that the forum is generally very indifferent towards MSD's movie but I thought it was great. More than anything else because of Sushant 's performance. It's really not that easy to replicate somebody else's body language. He really did deserve the awards.

Most of the other biopics, let's say BMB or Mary Kom had great performances by the leads but not this kind of accuracy in immitating the body language of the real person.

There is a newspaper called Telegraph which had done a survey comparing Sachin vs MSD the film and many had picked MSD over Sachin. Also the number of times MSD plays on TV speaks volumes about the viewership it gets. This forum hates Sushant, hence the indifference.

He did well in copying the body language, but SSR's acting was sub-par in emotional scenes. He was quite blank in scenes that you'd expect him to show some emotion on his face.

Anyway, the film was fine.

Preferred Sachin's film, too. It was a docu-drama, but loved the format.

That's because MSD was a proper film. Sachin's film, as already pointed out by CR, was a documentary-drama, not exactly a feature film.
