Okay I've come to watch it and it's not bad at all... I read some reviews that people can't understand what's going on... But it's nothing like that at least till the interval...which is where I am right now 😆 If you've watched Hollywood, then you won't be confused because this is a normal storytelling in those films... It is different from the over simplified BW style though.

Sid needs to work on dialogue delivery. He is looking good in the movie. It's definitely watchable according to me. At least the first half is. Let me see how the movie ends. But it's not that bad. If you watch movies like houseful or bang bang then you'd like it.

A Gentleman was flat on day two as it grossed in the 3.75-4 crore nett range. The little growth that came was outside Mumbai circuit as it was a partial holiday there on Friday. The film had to show growth of 70-75% if it was to go anywhere but that just does not happen with action films. The film is on course to suffer huge losses unless there is some unlikely miracle on Monday and does not drop. The business of A Gentleman for the first two days is as follows.

Friday - 3,75,00,000

Saturday - 4,00,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 7,75,00,000 apprx

Second half review-

It has funny moments. The climax is not so good but I did enjoy till the end. It's a one-time watch and not as bad as all the reviews say, especially if you don't mind watching movies like Bang Bang etc. which I thought was a waste of time. If movies like R...Rajkumar can be hits, I don't know what went wrong with this one. I think it's just that it's not really for the rural masses, it's not for classes either. It's just for urban masses 😆

It was a disaster weekend for the film industry with all new releases failing badly at box office. A Gentleman was the biggest film and just about managed to collect 12 crore nett over three days. Being an action film, the only chance is to open but this was well short and then there is not much hope which will mean huge losses for the makers. Its going to very tough on Monday for the film going by the trend. The business of A Gentleman for the weekend is as follows.

A Gentleman is a big disaster as it dropped around 60% from its first day on Monday. The first day was boosted around 10% by a regional holiday but even still the drop is far too big. The film had to be doing a crore or so more than Friday to have a chance but that just does not happen in todays day and age. It will be a one week run for the film as Baadshaho will release this week. The first week business will close at around 17 crore nett The business of A Gentleman till date is as follows.

Friday - 3,75,00,000

Saturday - 4,00,00,000

Sunday - 4,50,00,000 apprx

Monday - 1,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 13,75,00,000 apprx
