Maybe so. This could mean a change in how things are being done now-a-days.

music director are lazy, they want to either copy someone else song or remake.
Director are lazy, they want to just rinse and repeat their own movie.
Actors are lazy, to read the script.

without hard work, they all will run out of luck and money.

I am amazed though
i mean not like quality was any better earlier

but we were being kind may be..that is exactly how we made equally shitty JTHJ a hit but a JHMS outright flop

we have become unforgiving and now we won't accept crap beautifully wrapped in beautiful locations and big stars. We won't compromise and content

the fact that a Bahubali made what it made shows we are interested in watching movies

the fact that a Hindi Medium made almost 70cr means we are very much up for movies

the fact that TB and JHMS failed means we are willing but we won't accept shit

so in a way..yes..like how many quality movies have we even seen this year..about time to stop taking us for granted

Yes for churning out crappy films. It is good for small film makers since all small budget good content movies did well this year. Secret superstar is also a small budget movie which may do well.
TEPK, Padmavati and Baadshaho will do well IMO.
Judwaa2, Golmaal and 2.0 will make good money too.

They need to hire good writers
Music directors need to make some original music
Actors need to read full scripts before signing
Directors need to create something

Does bollywood deserve the state that it is in currently - - maybe.
Is bollywood the only one responsible for it--no. It's the audience too to some extent I feel. Like the quality of cinema wasn't any better previously too, but back then the audiences would go to the cinema , and watch movies they wanted to watch no matter how crap they were.
Bollywood made crap, audience went ahead and watched it, Bollywood realized that audience will probably take any shit made and went ahead making such crap movies, but the audience now have reached a breaking point..!

None of this talk of acting, quality script, etc. make sense. For example, Main Tera Hero and Badrinath Ki Dulhania... Many have agreed these were "bad" films, yet they did well at the BO. Why??? Truth is, no one really knows why BW isn't doing well.

Perhaps potential BW audiances are busy streaming foreign content, having access to shows/films that are "different", seeing new faces...

Perhaps these BO numbers are the new normal.
