Nepotism is inevitable, to a certain degree IMO. Imagine yourself as a business magnate, your son or daughter grow up to have no job and they're aging but still finding it hard to get a job - wouldn't you offer them a job somewhere in your industry - even if it's a clerk job. If you wouldn't, then, wow, wish the entire world was like you.
Likewise, lots of parents have different thresholds, every parent wants to see their child successful.. It's not a fault in their parenting, it's just a bond parent-child have. One way or another, a parent wants his child to have some security in life, even if it goes against his ethical senses... it's not his fault. And where human relationships are there, such politics, upto a certain degree are inevitable.. giving preference to a friend's child, etc. The person who is giving preference to a friend's child has his own limitations - maybe he has some emotional obligation to the friend, and despite his unwillingness, may have to oblige.. Who wouldn't want to employ a better actor/worker? If a person is giving preference to a person who is less talented/skilled , it must mean he's under some obligation? Also, quid pro quo, world revolves around quid pro quo...What I'm saying is, world isn't so black or white as we make it out to be or demand it to be. If world could be like that, it would be a much peaceful place.People are certainly not as evil as this forum makes them out to be. I'm always appalled how people here look at celebs like they're some evil, mean-spirited people. Everyone's a human, with their own difficulties, their own limitations, etc. It's easy to judge everyone when you don't know their side of the story. Everyone's looking for their own place to survive and sustain(again, each one has different thresholds). No one's at fault here, the system itself is .. like how it is.. but it's getting better over the years, no?But anyway, that's my personal stoical opinion...______________________________________________________Yesterday, I read a comment here asking if re-casting same actor all the time in a director's movie will be called as nepotism? Because surely, some favoritism must be going on between the director-actor (director or film producer, spare me the details)? will people start looking at it as a bad thing too?
