ok watched it, the biggest problem the movie has is that its too long and honestly becomes quite boring, its like the plotline is stretched out too much and to a certain point you just want the characters to get on with it and get to the point, in every case jagga takes about 10-20 mins to solve and they show every little detail of wat he does and wats going on, it just unnesscary after a certain point
cinematrography is nice, only some songs r nice, rest become a bit too irritating, especially at the start where they r just singing continuously again and again

in terms of acting, rk is a gud actor, but i dont think JJ is his best, maybe coz the role didn't do him justice and sorry but the stuttering just didn't feel natural to me, there is even one point where jagga is just speaking, not singing, and he isn't stuttering, which didn't make any sense

this is not katrinas best either, she really needs to improve her dialogue delivery, even in the film they had to dub some of her dialogues, she was cute in some scenes

its not a dreadful movie, but just not a solid one either, there r some nice moments but just not enough to engage or keep u interested, Barfi was a perfect film for me, it had so much emotion and heart, this movie was just technical and the only emotional bits are few scenes of jagga and his dad

some of the vfx work looked unnatural aswell

i understand the intention anurag had to make something different, but i feel he tried to pack too much into this film, sometimes less is more

The real question is will the movie recover it's budget? Making 125 cr is a big task for a Ranbir movie😆

How much it earned on day 1😕 Tell me

So am still excited to watch and am pretty sure it will still be better than ADHM (unless this is truly terrible and I dont wanna live to see the day when Basu does worse than KJo 😕). So yeah, am still hoping I like it and its atleast a decent watch 😆

waiting for your review when are you going?

i watched it at home, cannot watch it in the cinema in the location that i am currently in, yes i do understand the vfx is not the same on computer version and cinema one, but i cud tell some of the vfx didn't look an convincing as it cud have, but more than anything the movie was way too long, and that wud hav been ok if the movie was engaging enough, unfortunately it wasnt for me

there were too many storlylines that basu tried to put into it, it was jumping from one scene to another, i feel they shud hav just focused on one case and one plotline, it wud hav been so much better

Ugh it might be a sinking ship from the looks of it.

Okay so I came across a comment while glancing through the initial pages claiming Barfi was a fluke! I love the movie so much and I completely disagree. Barfi worked wonders because the story connected to people. The movie had its heart in the right place despite being largely inspired by various movies. Barfi has aged fine. Let's not forget Barfi released at a time when masala mardhaad movies were in vogue and every other trash was reaching the 100 crore milestone. Had it released now, it would have been huge! However, my point is that belittle JJ if it's not up your alley but let's not downplay Barfi. Ok thanks. 😆

Barfi is one of my faves, and honestly it wud hav had to take alot for basu to top barfi, the characters, just had alot of heart especially barfi and jilmils relationship which just melted my heart

JJ is way too technical, basu needed to focus on the emotions and even character development a bit more for us to connect, instead he just added so many action scenes and subplots that it became a bit exhausting

+1. Barfi may be inspired and Basu blatantly copied a lot of scenes but the film was all heart backed by an absolutely brilliant album. You really cant come up with a song like Phir le aaya dil and picturize it the way Basu did without talent 😆 Forget Barfi. I loved Gangster and Life in a Metro too so yeah, I do think Basu is extremely talented. JJ might be a bad film for all we know (am yet to watch it) but he is million times better than say Imtiaz Ali IMO 😆

@Zee- Sunday probably..
