Buzz suggests Anushka Sharma is yet to receive full payment for 'Bombay Velvet'. The mega-budget film, which released in mid May, bombed at the box-office and the losses sent the actors' pay for a toss.

Sources suggest that her co-star Ranbir Kapoor has managed to get his money from the production house, but she is still awaiting a part of her remuneration.


A source says, "Anushka has spoken to the makers about it. However, she has neither received a response from them nor her pending dues so far. She is not one to discuss financial matters publicly and is quietly awaiting her payment that is somewhere around Rs 1 crore."

'Bombay Velvet' was apparently made on a budget of over Rs 130 crore, but failed to recover even 25 per cent of it.

The actress' spokesperson chose not to comment on the matter while the makers did not respond to our text messages.

Mumbai: There is no denying in the fact that Ranbir Kapoor is one of the finest actors of Bollywood and he has proved it several times with his performances. Films like Rocket Singh Salesman Of The Year', Rajneeti', Rockstar' and Barfi' has shown us the acting potential of this young Kapoor lad.

However, his past few films have failed miserably at the box office and the actor is fighting hard to come out of this phase. His latest release Tamasha' is doing average business at the ticket window which wasn't expected.

But, in spite of the recent failures, the producers and directors have complete faith in Ranbir Kapoor, so much that he was paid a handsome amount of Rs 38 crore for Tamasha.' This information was revealed in the IT raid at Kwan, the agency that manages Ranbir.

When it comes to remuneration, RK is right next to the superstars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan who have been in the industry for a much longer time.

This only goes out to prove that a few flops couldn't affect the star much as people are very well aware of his acting talent and are willing to pay him whatever he asks for. Tamasha' has so far done a business of around 62 crore at the box office. The film was produced under the banner of Sajid Nadiadwala.

It was reported earlier this year that Ranbir had charged Rs 30 crore for Bombay Velvet' which did a lifetime business of Rs 24 crore at the box office.

Well, if the producers are thinking so much about the star, it would be nice of RK to think about them too when it comes to his fee.
