But you often support the trolls. Better to support the preachers than that. At least their hearts are in the right place. But even if they want to change the dynamics, they will never be able to when one side keeps flinging crap. Nobody is going to keep turning their cheek and letting it happen.

So yes, both sides are the same. One is proud of being trolls and harassing people and crying in the chat thread. One side at least tries sometimes though they end up failing too.
