😆 But doesn't Bhalla's desperate cry for Devasena to join him at the very end sort of crap on all that "gentlemanliness" stuff. He lusted for her, but her constant refusal and her choosing Baahu drove him insane. He sort of got his way by being able to "control" Devasena (in the sense that she was imprisoned and he got to torture her etc.), but it is interesting why he didn't force himself onto her ... someone of his caliber who had no qualms about cutting down his own citizens thought twice about raping someone? Color me shocked.

Hell, maybe Bhalla was a bit more gentle down there if you know what I mean, but had to hide it otherwise he wouldn't be able to compete for the throne. It explains why he didn't get married or have kids. Poor guy might not have been capable of doing it 😆😆😆 Like father like son.

Or maybe, when Devasena refused him, he got drunk one night and chopped his d**k off 🤣🤣🤣.

Hahahahaha ikr. Bhalla disgusts me like anything and he being Amarendra's murderer is enough for me to hate him. Had he even respectfully house arrested devsena, I would have hated him to death.

@bold: Word girl, word. Bhalla is a brilliantly-written villain, but he was far from the whole 'gentleman' thing.

Also after killing Sivagami, before he imprisons Devsena, he tells her that for Devsena, Bhalla is the only remaining person in the world whom she could love or hate.

Devsena's initial proposal had hurt his ego tremendously, and Bhalla of all people would not understand that it was wrong on part of MM to send that proposal, and that D had all rights to reject it.

Hence this madness had been simmering inside him for so long. Why would he otherwise chain D there in the middle of the courtyard? if he just had to keep her chained, he could have kept her in the prison.

He was a sadist, but fortunately Devsena did not give him the satisfaction of breaking down in front of Bhalla. Not even, when he killed his Brother, which Bhalla made a slight show of to torture Devsena.
