I see this as a flaw in Sivagami's bringing up.. Somewhere Sivagami has missed Bhalla! In trying to care for the weaker child (weaker because he was unwanted by a group in the palace), she has let the other one go faraway from her.. and he was misled by his father..

But I don't think it makes his character any more likable for me... Yes, he was jealous & mislead by his father.. But what he did .. he didn't do it when he was 10 or 15.. but when he was 25.. An age by which he should've realized that he was being mislead or that he was crossing the lines.. He did get the crown.. and he should've done something to get people's love too.. he had the opportunity.. Yet he chose the wrong path & went after Baahu.. He still never got the people's love n was never their true King!

I have a slight different view on this..

I agree, Bhalla had a choice to choose right path but he didn't...but why because he was mislead.

A kid's character and behavior will be developed by the way they are carved.

Though we didn't get to watch proper childhood days of bhalla and baahu, but it was quite visible that Shivagami was affinitive to baahu...

Remember the intro of Amara in BB1, Where he says...bhalla when I become King, I will make you my senadipathi, and shivgami was shown giving a smile to that conversation...

Somewhere Bhalla didn't get enuf love from shivagami, I might be wrong, Shivagami would have love bhalla a lot, but she failed in portraying it being Baahu around...and Bijjala Just used this situation to poison his mind...

As Baahu learnt good from Being mostly with shivagami, Bhalla only learnt what he ws taught by bijjala

Baahu was close to shivagami and bhalla was close to bijjala

Though upbringing of both kids was taken care by shivagami, as baahu and bhalla grew, they were shown different paths by shivagami and bijjala respectively...

Bhalla was not wrong in my perspective, he was taught to do all this and he did...but this doesn't mean that his character is acceptable..he was a monster in destroying all happiness, killing his own mother, brother and his brother's son, chaining his brotther's wife and feel happy about her pain...this is not acceptable at all...but I feel sad for bhalla because he was mislead

He knew baahu would not fight for crown..
But the little glimpse he saw of baahu in court.. it would have shaken him up.. That's because that guy was a creep, perverted fellow and deserved nothing better!
Because he very well knew Devasena could do anything if she knew it was right and good. He knew all of them well pa.. that's why I feel like he should've known Baahu wouldn't do it! No matter who said it!
