If it was done, I think it may've been for the purpose of a song only.. there was no importance to the engagement sequence.. The whole idea was that there is a misunderstanding about the groom & that was shot in 2013 itself.. so Engagement happening right after Kunthala sequence serves no purpose as per story.. maybe just to give us viewers some good scenes but otherwise no.. coz Baahu giving the promise after Pindari fight itself was enough... and probably why it was altered too..
