But suddenly his hands come from side to hold the sword in anger as he sees the shackles in Deva's wrists..

That was the one scene I didn't like detail wise. I loved his entrance, I loved how he held the sword. I love how he stood next to Devasena. But I didn't like how they showed him reholding the sword.

I think what SSR should have done was have Amarendra tighten his grip on the sword and sort of play with it (maybe move his wrist a little) to show that he was agitated.

That scene didn't flow very well for me though. It was a bit hard for me to visualize someone walking in gripping his sword, but then removing it, only to put it back on. He would have seen Devasena in shackles from the distance, so it's one of those odd moments for me that disappointed me for a split second.
