A rural Tamilian goes to Delhi and he is not accommodated in his language.
A rural UPian goes to even Tamil Nadu and is accommodated in his language (or rather, I should say, Hindi).

i was talking about overall in india 70-80 percent people can at least understand hindi. see its not just about rural TN its also about rural gujarat, rural WB, rural Maharashtra, rural assam . other than 4/5 states ( not everyone of these states speak hindi either ) everyone face the same problem. so either hindi or english could be promoted. thats what i said.but the problem is promoting hindi was easier than promoting english. so if in some state say for example WB people think that they are more comfortable with english and its easy to make everyone learn english then that is excellent . i would say promote hindi but dont make it compulsory .i would have said promote english but its not going to be easy . if people of any state think that english is enough to communicate with everyone across the country then its fine. people who think that they would never move from their respective states and why should they learn hindi ,again its fine. the rest of the people can opt for learning hindi . see if you know hindi you can communicate with most of the people in north, east, west and a sizable portion of south. if you can speak english then you can communicate with a small portion of north, east, west and a sizable portion of south.i would have said learn a south indian language but we have 5/6 languages in south so learning 1 language will not work. so learn both hindi and english if you want to communicate with everyone across india . problem solved. ..
remember yesterday you were talking about CBSE the recommendation was made by CBSE but not about hindi. it was english plus any two of 22 languages which i am sure HRD ministry will not accept. and in parliament hindi will be compulsory for those who can speak and read hindi and again not for everyone only for region A states (rajasthan+ mp +bihar + up etc ) all these hindi being compulsory which is made a base by political groups to attack government by misleading people is actually for region A states not for everyone. dont believe everything you read in NP or social media. and again hindi will never be able to replace regional languages. it will only help in regional integration. .
