Sometime last year, we were the rst ones to announce that director Abhishek Varman's next after his super successful debut 2 STATES he will begin his next with the same co-production of Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandsons Entertainment. The movie is question was SHIDDAT and it is meant to be a period love story. However the movement on the movie stalled for some time and now it seems that it is catching stream once again. The movie is going to be starring Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapoor in the lead. The leading ladies of the movie are yet to be nalized. Varun is currently shooting for his father David Dhawan's next JUDWAA 2 in London, this movie incidentally is also produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.

Sounds lovely but not sure how seriously to take this news. Shiddat casting comes up then dies then back up again. I'll believe it when it actually happens 😆

ARK now doing a movie which Arjun Kapoor didnt want to do as the role wasnt good. Means he is moving to supporting roles.

Great Varun makes me watch those actors whose individual movies I stay clear of otherwise..like Alia,John now ARK😆.I think Shiddat is shelved and this is a new story.Tbh its good coz Abhi Verman's capabilties wont be enough to handle a script like Shiddat

Hope this one is less complex and I definitely dont want Verman's crush Alia too on board😳.Take Disha opposite Varun and Vani opposite ARK...Or anyone fresh Krit,Fatima for a change
