It has nothing to do with Anushka. the fact is vidya's weight inhibits her from doing justice to many of her characters coz then she doesn't look the part... like in hamari adhuri kahani I reli felt she looked misplaced with emran n why someone like him wud chase her... I jus saw her film companion interview today n her weight bothered me... if u r going to be an actress atleast be a reasonable n presentable weight.

She has health issues. And roles like Begum jaan doesnt require size zero body.

If the trailer was bad. How will the movie even fair good?

And I don't think many audience go out there to watch a depressing story. Art movies hardly ever do well. They should have released this story on YouTube Red/Amazon Prime.

The original bored me to no end, despite having several national award winners, a bloody premise to which I had a personal connection.

Srijit just couldn't do it. And the remake much was lost in translation as well.

As for vidyas weight: no one expect her to look like an emaciated 18 year old model but when shebis in an industry that prizes outside loojs, she should try to make an effort. I see her dress ups in fashion site and everything and it look likes she just doesn't care because she has acting talent.

She just doesn't look believable.

And when ladies like Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren,Jane Fonda who are much much older than her, or Sarika, Dimple, even Amrita, make an effort with their physical looks aside from their brush up skills, I find it insulting to not even try a little.

Trailer was horrible. Subject didn't make sense. Critics can praise them to skies but I don't like to watch Vidya, Swara Bhaskar, Richa Chadda and their crass films. Don't see any women empowerment in it.
