Well she is the DIL of Bachans, so getting a movie will not be a big deal. But I was shocked when I watched ADHM, as I did not expect her to do such a lame and cheap role just to get a hit.

She will stay relevant for many reasons, the family, star DIL, cannes, endorsements and all. However being relevant for her films or being successful with Films seem difficult for her now, what makes it worse is her acting is cringe worthy.

she was always a flop. never reached d top even in her so called peak... bachan name keeps her relevant and then there is cannes... her only claim to fame

No she is not. As eager some are to see her "done and dusted", she will not fade away so easily. She still rocks the popularity charts..her recent films still do decent business (Sarbjit, ADHM). At 43, she is picking and doing good, challenging roles. She still has big endorsements. She is still very much in the news even without a hyperactive PR. So it's all good.

It is a fact though that good roles are hard to come by for older actresses in our industry - the likes of Madhuri, Karisma are all lying jobless, the likes of Kajol are accepting mediocre roles down South, and the rest like Shilpa, Raveena are doing TV. Only some like Tabu are doing good work - that too we can all see how rarely - it just shows that the industry doesn't have much to offer to older actresses. But then hope is a good thing. When she was getting married 10 years back, no one thought she would still be a name to reckon with even now... audience's mindset changed, they became more accepting. Even though the rate of change is very low, it still makes me hopeful nevertheless.

P.S. This "Bachchan" tag helping her stay at the top chant is getting old. Abhishek has had that tag for so long but it doesn't seem to be helping his career one bit.

2 yrs ago RK and Akki were said to be done and dusted because they got flops 😆

There is not much she can offer and she never was a great actress to begin with, So ya pretty much she is done at least when it comes to movies.

She will stay in news for L'orieal, Cannes, bachchan dil but that's about it.

When was she big star? She was never known much for her work, even sonali bendre did more relevant work than her but people gave her so much attention because of her beauty, other than that she was mostly known for her personal life and controversies that most people will never forget, affair with salman then ugly break up with him, another affair with vivek oberio and press conference by vivek against salman, finally marrying junior B to become bahu of the bachchan family and then going to Cannes but her movies never made huge amount of money, she will stay in the limelight as long as she have big B as her supporter.
