Why throw PC under bus to make DP look good. Comments here to support DP are ridiculous in that way. I have no issue with accents, let alone DP's. Accent just means she knows more than 1 language. Her W*F quote is funny though. She needs to take a short break from movies and boy friends. šŸ˜†

Aww that was actually a really sweet interview! It's been a really long time since I've seen Deepika so flustered and nervous but despite that props to her for handling this interview like she normally does. No airs and no wannabe vibes...heck i think she had more personality here than she does with her interviews back in India šŸ˜†

In my opinion
Priyanka's interview was better in terms of wit, but then it seemed like she was trying too hard to give it back to Ellen and then Ellen hitting the ball again in a similar fashion,
I cringed a lot when I watched the entire conversation take place, it seemed like Ellen was put off by her behavior.
Priyanka's accent has changed because of her role in Quantico, so I will have to ignore that.

Deepika was definitely nervous. But she was still natural, she was honest, sounded down to earth, rather cute and there was no accent which I happy about.

I think Priyanka's accent and the way she carries herself, though with confidence with lacks conviction.

Deepika has the right balance, she just needs to shrug off the nervousness and be a little sharp with her wit. šŸ‘šŸ¼

Why is the Internet so hellbent on proving each other wrong and starting shit that I've seen over and over again?! ESPECIALLY NOW THIS SHIT IS ABOUT DEEPIKA VS PRIYANKA BOTH BEING IN HOLLYWOOD.

Why is the Internet especially those fans who are comparing Deepika and Priyanka's interviews? Both of whom are top Bollywood actresses in their own respective rights. Both of whom have landed some of the most beautiful women in the world/India lists. Both of whom who have won countless awards for their performances. Both of whom have landed debut in respective fields in an network drama show and an action film with Vin Diesel.

It's like that one big ugly fan war some time ago with Deepika-Ranbir-Katrina but only uglier.

This concept applies to every single female celebrity, making a big deal with Deepika versus Sonam, Deepika versus Katrina, Kareena versus Priyanka, Aishwarya versus Anushka, Alia versus Parineeti, and the list is endless.

But when it comes to male celebrities. You guys decided to stay silent. Only speaking out to point out their beauty, their work, and how "cute" they look when they work together or if they did exactly the same kind of films. You guys don't...fight. You just stay silent on those things.

And let's not get into that whole topic of the amount of countless and countless of wardrobe malfunction videos on Bollywood women just to please the perverts. The amount of sexism I see right there is just pure disgusting.

Why must you guys always nitpick and pinpoint every flaw, every little thing a competition between two successful women?

Can two successful women actually coexist?

Apparently, the Internet seems to disagree.

I truly don't understand what all this Hullabaloo is about accents, whether it be PC's or DP's. From my own experience, accents change on their own and can be changed as needed. I personally grew up in a house as a child that didnt speak english at all. Growing up and going to school, I had a thick Indian accent when speaking english and somewhere in between the years I had the equivalent to what Priyanka's currently "fake" accent is where your stuck in between, and now I don't have my accent at all. It naturally just changed. As a child it was obviously easier for me to lose it then her. But like someone mentioned PC lived here so its obvious she picked up some changes as well, 4 years is a long time and then her role required her to alter it even more. After shooting hours a day for a show, that kind of stuff sticks and its not as easy to just switch back and forth and someone how both her Indian and American accents get mixed. And whats the big deal if she changed her accent for a TV show. Thats not being fake, its getting in character, if required. On Grey's Anatomy, at least 2 of the main characters originally have English and Australian accents and you can't even tell. I don't see why Indians make such a big deal about altering it if need be. Also, people actually get bullied over their accents and to see people carelessly insulting people over theirs is unacceptable.

It's really great that Deepika chose to "not be fake" by keeping her accent. But she was allowed to. Fans gotta be real with themselves and ask, if Deepika had been asked to change her diction and accent for this film, would she have been "stayed true to herself" and declined the role? Probably not. If she gets an kickass role later on and needs to change her accent, she till be just as "fake" as PC and do it. Actors do what they need to do to get ahead. If she stays in HW, its very likely to change because not all directors will be as accommodating, lets be honest.

Also I don't get the constant need of DP fans to bring down PC every time in order to make DP look better. It's just so petty. DP can honestly hold her own without someone else having to be brought down.

Anyways, as for the interview. AHHH she looked so great! Loved whoever did her hair and make up , the skirt and top was eh for me, not my style. Also other than the Vin and Babies comment I think she did well for her first (I believe) American TV experience. Indian TV and media IVs are her comfort zone so if she is nervous on American TV, I don't see the big issue around it. She will ease in, I'm sure. Though I was surprised how nervous she sounded about answering simply how she landed this role, it wasn't a curve ball and was pretty straight forward and an expected question.

It was a sweet interview. Shorter than PC's but I liked it more cause Ellen seemed to like DP and was sweet to her. I got a different vibe from her for PC šŸ˜›
And a south indian accent is what DP has?! I had a completely different impression of what a south indian accent sounded like 😲😲
