Dangal was pro social and also no shutdown of theatres. It has been a year since those intolerance comment. Public memory is vague.

And we're back to square one! Dangal released more than a year after what Aamir had stated! Public memory is short! Dilwale released barely a month after Shahrukh had stated what he did. Nobody is giving excuses here. It's a fact that the business of Dilwale was indeed affected by it. There are plenty of articles out there stating as to how shows were cancelled not just in one city but plenty of cities all over India! In a place or two down South the movie wasn't even allowed to release! There are articles that corroborate this as cases were filed against those theater owners who under pressure from the right wing goons didn't screen Diwale at all. Nobody is stating that this was the only factor why Dilwale didn't work in India but it was one of the factors especially when it comes to the first weekend.

ok so Dilwale was Oscar worthy 😆
Even if there was no clash and no intolerance comment the movie would not go beyond 150 crores.

Why is your sui stuck on dilwale ...its 2017 and not 2015 anymore .

I agreed with SRK but then I saw someone saying Dilwale got affected 😆 If she is stuck in 2015 can't I also go back to help her come out of 2015? 😆

Well if she thinks dilwale was affected even slightly based on media reports then let her believe it .

I stated Dilwale was affected because someone else stated as to how it was an "excuse"! Of course folks here hardly bother with facts which is why I referred to the articles that are out there that stated as to how many shows were cancelled , how theaters were vandalized , how the people belonging to the ruling party themselves are on camera stating we won't let the movie releases so no one is stuck in 2015 but since it was brought up , one replied to it , hope things are more clear to some folks here now! 😆
