What's so good about Ishq Vishk??

Yesterday I randomly found the dvd of Ishq vishk in my house so I decided to put it on as I remember it being a rage among my college friends back in 2003 and I never got the chance to watch it. I watched and it and I didn't really understand what was so good about it?? It was a typical bollywood romantic film and I seen many films like that, so can someone tell me what made Ishq Vishk so popular??

Edit: Although I must admit the songs were quite nice and the acting by Amrita Rao was quite good

Shahid and Amrita - had amazing chemistry. But I honestly thought Shahid's character was a bit of a jerk.

back in the days anu malik was the melody master <3 though i love dil mange more more than isqh visqh of shahid kapoor i can watch it every time :D so many memories and this song is love

The music of Dil Maange More was composed by Himesh not Anu but I agree Shahid's films soundtracks were remarkable in his earlier days
