I am sure SLB mustn't have cast Shahid seeing his BO status.He must have cast him seeing his acting talent. After all,he got immense praises from the critics for his performances in Haider and Udta punjab.

SLB doesn't pay attention to an actor's stardom and BO status.He pays more attention to spending money in building lavish sets,expensive and heavy costumes and of course the VFX.

Why will this movie flop then?His GF is in this movie too.😉

Waise,it would be great if SLB pays attention to the story too which he has often ignored in his last few films.Every movie cannot be a hit due to the sets and the music.

Forget Shahid and DP, I think movie's fate will depend on Ranveer's performance. He's playing a crazy psychopathic ruler which is not a usual kind of role. If he delivers an iconic performance like Batman's Joker or SRK in Darr, then Padmavati can become superhit. Else it'll will do as well as BM

My issue isnt with the male leads actually. I think Shahid and Ranveer are both good actors capable of doing justice. Its with the female lead. I dont think DP and Sanjay work well together, yes they have a success ratio and she has won a filmfare for one of his films. But I can imagine another Mastani type performance given by her. Than again I am not sure who he could cast that would be the right combination of beauty, grace and talent needed for his films.

Before Befikre everybody was saying it's a litmus test for ranvir after befikre all faults goes to only Adi.

Besharam as a movie worse than Befikre but nobody blame anything /anybody except Ranbir. I can remember how the media after besharam like that's the only movie flop of a big star.
