Congrats to them! Taimur is definitely not my first choice but its gives an old school kinda vibe. Actually knowing Bebo, I'm relieved she didn't go for something "posh" like Apple or North. And mercifully, the name also doesnt end with -iaan 😆

The plebs as usual, busy discussing the most important issue of the day.
I am sikh and I could name my child after Ahmad Shah Abdali if I wanted to.
To know your history is important,to be held hostage to it is a sign of a cowardly and defeatist mentality.
Anyway this is Islamophobia masquerading as contempt for mass murderers.
I think Rajiv Gandhi was responsible for the genocide of 84,do I now go around questioning anyone who names their son Rajiv?

Wasn't Asoka also known for killing so many in war? Or any king or emperor?

Nothing wrong with the name Osama. Why would anyone name their kid Bin Laden? That's not their last name.
Same with taimur. It's just a first name that many all over the world have.
It's the mentality that's the problem, not the name.

Why not! there is a certain aesthetic appeal to Adolf Hitler Singh and Osama bin Laden Singh,No😃😆😆
The point of my post is that this discussion is farcical.
I think focussing on the child's name rather than wishing the parents joy is petty and smallminded.
But this is my point of view and I respect that other's may have their own point of view just as I respect the rights of parents to name their child as they please.

Ashoka remorsed after his victory. Then changed his life in the route of peace and non violence. Taimoor, Aurangzeb took credit in their brutalities.

True. What is in the name? Just by keeping the name Ram, one will not become Ram. Still, one won't name their child Ravan. Just by naming kid as Amir, one will not become rich. Still names like Raj/Amir are preferred. Not Bhikaari.
