Deepika's gorgeous. Sad that she has to settle for a baffoon like Ranveer. Anushka wins on all fronts, especially personal.

deepu had the advantage of being Prakash Padukone's daughter.
its nt like she had to struggle like a genuine outsider.

onscreen dp is good.off screen she appears manipulative
n sure footed.anu on the other hand seems comparatively
less scheming.she looks easy to be friends with.
so off screen i will rather go with safer anu than lady macbeth

I ran a similar poll focused on comparing DP v/s Anushka in terms of acting not too long ago (link: http://www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=4673773) but didn't state my opinion there.. anyway here goes:

On-screen: Deepika

I think DP's growth in Cocktail and subsequent films, like YJHD, Ram Leela and Chennai Express (not a fan of the Rohit Shetty genre but enjoying watching DP in it) made her grow. I loved her performance in Tamasha the most (her career-best for me), but she was good in Piku as well. I think Bajirao was a miss for her, she didn't have much scope and her dancing in Mohe Rang do Laal made me miss Madhuri.

Anushka started off well with RNBDJ and Band Baaja Baaraat, but after Jab Tak Hai Jaan I haven't really liked or related to any performance of hers. I have not seen NH10 fully, just in parts, or Bombay Velvet so can't comment on those. DDD was more a special appearance for her, and while I thought ADHM was an okay - one time watch - overall, I didn't walk away wow-ed by her. She was decent in Sultan but it was a Salman show through and through. I would like to see her something different as well, maybe an intense romantic drama? It would be nice to watch.

Off-screen: Anushka

I don't like talking about actors personal lives i.e. relationships because (like them) I think it takes away from their work - as well as the fact that their images are carefully crafted by PR and media - but I find Anushka more relatable and chilled out off-screen. I think DP has a good head on her shoulders and has definitely made some good progress with awareness of mental health, but Anushka comes across as less diplomatic and overall approachable and a fun person to hang out with. Some of DP's interviews are very dull... probably part of her personality.

I really like both of them as actresses and off-screen. I just wish they got along better off-screen. I would love to see a Kat/Anushka/DP roundtable! 😆

i never thought i would say it back then but deepika as of now is a much better actor

i love the subtle and sublime way she acts, very natural and real. I think 2015 had 2 gems in her kitty (piku, tamasha) where in the former she stood on her firm ground going neck to neck with AB and Ifran and in the latter with a mere half hour role completely overshadowed the one around whom.the story actually revolved

Anushka is a good actor but i feel she does tend to go a bit OTT at times
