Looks like the apparent clash of Raees and Kaabil with Chan has been averted...
Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan won't have Jackie Chan for company this January. It seemed like that when the promo of his next release Kung Fu Yoga was unveiled a couple of days back. The film's official release date was announced as January 28 and this is during the weekend when SRK and Hrithik Roshan would be battling it out with their Raees and Kaabil respectively.
Says an observer, "Though this is a Saturday, one wondered if the release in India happened a day earlier on a regular Friday. So far, the announcement has been China release but considering the fact that India has become a hot market for global release of major films, one expected a date and time release here as well."
What makes the release of Kung Fu Yoga in India all the more important is the fact that a major part of the Chinese film is set in India and features Bollywood actors like Sonu Sood, Disha Patani and Amyra Dastur. Made in Chinese and English, the film has Jackie Chan playing an archaeology professor from China who collaborates with Indians to locate India's lost Magadha treasure in Tibet. A Chinese-Indian collaboration which means it is bound to see a major release in the country," a trade source adds.
Sources now confirm that the film would instead be arriving on February 3 in India.
"It makes sense since the biggest challenge for the distributors would have been to figure out how to accommodate Kung Fu Yoga alongside Raees and Kaabil, if at all the release were to happen in the Republic Day weekend itself," an insider comments, "There are 5000 odd prominent screens across the country and these too are less for both Raees and Kaabil to fit in. Even on a conservative scale, Kung Fu Yoga would warrant over 800 screens. Had the film actually released on 28th January in India, the situation would have become pretty complicated for one and all."
Well, thankfully the three sided clash between Jackie Chan, SRK and Hrithik has been averted and now audiences would be glad to catch each of the three films as per their time and convenience.
There have been plenty of speculations whether Shah Rukh Khan will promote Raees on Salman Khan's Bigg Boss or not. But all speculations have finally been put to rest. Accordingly to a leading tabloid, Shah Rukh will shoot for not one but two full-fledged episodes that'll air back to back before the finale episode.
A source reveals, "He (SRK) will be shooting for the weekend episodes with Salman on Friday, January 20. The duo will groove to Raees's songs, there will be a lot of fun and games too." And the TRP's will shoot high, obviously.

Raees: Nawazuddin Siddiqui appears with Shah Rukh Khan for the first time in the film.Nawazuddin Siddiqui says that if his role in Raees will be appreciated, its solely because of Shah Rukh Khan. "Shah Rukh Khan is the best co-actor. The response that he gives to you while performing scenes is terrific. (Otherwise) I have seen most of the times that while shooting, actors don't listen to your dialogues or see your expressions, and are mainly concerned about their lines," he said.
Nawazuddin also said, "Whatever appreciation I get for my role in Raees will be just because of Shah Rukh Khan. He has respected his character a lot. Also, the chemistry between us is good".
Nawazuddin's first release for the new year is debut director Shlok Sharma's Haraamkhor, which hits screens on January 13. After that, he will be seen with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the much-awaited Raees.
Nawaz will be seen as a school teacher in Haraamkhor, he says he has never focused on building a set image for himself in Bollywood. And that's what gives him a chance to experiment with every project in an age of digitisation.
"I have never thought about creating an image for myself in Bollywood. I am an actor and just want to experiment with roles. I am ready to do all type of roles," Nawazuddin said.

"I don't want to build any image for myself. I don't want people to say, He does only a certain type of role'. I don't want only to be the hero of the story. An actor's weakness is the different roles that he can't do. But I am keen to grab only those roles as I am here to challenge myself," added the critically-acclaimed talent.
He credits his acting skills to his training at the National School of Drama. "You gain a lot through training," said the 42-year-old, who is endorsing social commerce platform addsbook.com.

The National Award-winning actor said he is happy with the digital world, but he does not like it when people use social media platforms to troll each other.
"It's bad that people waste most of their time on various social media platforms looking through and commenting on others' posts. That's what we call the wrong use of digitalisation," said the actor, best known for his roles in films like Dekh Indian Circus, Gangs of Wasseypur, Talaash, The Lunchbox and Manjhi - The Mountain Man.
"One negative impact of digital media is that people have the liberty to say what they want to. There aren't any restrictions.

"I understand that people have freedom of speech, but people should have some sense while saying anything. People nowadays give reviews of films on social media. But are they capable enough to do that; do they have those kind of skills," Nawazuddin questioned.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is all set to entertain his fans with his gangster avatar in Raees'. But, before the film hits the screens, he made an interesting appeal to all movie buffs asking them not to use cell phones while watching the film. The video was released recently by the makers.
In the video, SRK was seen donning Miya Bhai's look with kohl eyes, and said in his deep baritone that if phone beeps for work then it's good but if it rings in theatres then it's wrong. He further said Film Shuru Phone Band'. It seems that Shah Rukh doesn't want people to get distract while watching his film.
Previously, when the actor appeared on Yaaron Ki Baraat' with Anushka Sharma, he revealed that he finds it very annoying when people in the movie hall pay more attention to their phones than films.
Thus, with this video, SRK is trying to persuade his fans not to do so.
