Agar aap Besharam dekhe nahin hai to bata doon ye koi acting karne bali movie nahin thi

Ya us movie main koi acting karne wala scene to mujhe yaad nahin aa raha

Baki to main sirf Sawariya and Rocket Singh hi dekha hoon. Rocket Singh sayad uska best movie hai.

Nah dont agree..Kill Dil, Besharam, BV, Sawariyaan none were praised..

DDD was a average movie did average business so fair enough...Tamasha was panned by critics..

Rocket Singh was an extremely well made movie with great acting. I dont know why it flopped..I would say hard luck. Ranbir was new at that time so lacked star power...If that movie was released today then the fate would have been different.

I understand why Lootera flopped..It was painstakingly slow for majority movie goers in India. A period set up, a new director, almost new stars, a poetic slow motion love story - when did such movies worked in India ever? But doesn't take away the fact that it will always remain a beautiful film..

Pyaasa flopped, Kagaz ke phool flopped, Mera Naam Joker flopped but 50 years later all got honorable mention in the history of Indian cinema. I'm sure Lootera and Rocket Singh both will survive the test of time...

Unlike say a Hrithik Roshan, part of why Ranbir Kapoor hits us such an indelible performer is linked to our knowledge that despite being an industry insider, he doesn't mind putting himself out there -- being obscene or uncultured. You get the sense that he knows how people talk at both power-point presentations as well at Ganeshotsav pandals.

1. Good acting does not mean great film..

2. Great film doesn't mean brilliant acting (you can make an entertaining film with mediocre acting)..

3. Flop film does not mean bad acting..

4. Hit film does not mean Oscar worthy acting..

5. Hit film does not mean great film and flop film does not mean pathetic film (not always atleast and its all subjective and depends on a lot of factors)

5. There is a reason BB is a bigger hit than every other Salman film..

P.S. Just to reiterate, people only look for entertainment/good films at the end of the day..You connect with your target audience and make a good film, it will do well one way or the other..Has nothing to do with good acting/bad acting..Lets not generalize and diss critically acclaimed films with good acting ( most films in the list provided here are trash and were dissed by the critics too esp. stuff like Besharam, BV and Kill Dill so am not sure what the point is anyway 😆)..Its as bad as lumping all masala films together and calling them ridiculous..
