I still remember when I left the cinema after watching Dil Chahta Hai. I thought finally we have a filmmaker who is smart, progressive and will take Bollywood to a new era of cinema.

Fast-forward 15 years and I came out of the cinema after watching a shower or shit called Rock On 2 and I can't believe this is the same person.

I know he didn't direct this but he did produce it and worked on the screenplay. To call appalling would be an understatement.

What happened to him?

Lakshya - a decent effort and I like he tried his hand at something different but it was mediocre at best.

Don/Don2 - Worked at the box office but wasn't a patch on the original.

He really needs to get back to directing. I get the feeling he's become to obsessed about being an actor/star that he's lost sight what he should be doing.

Its a shame because I did have high hopes for him and thought he was the one to look out for. I guess being sucked into the world of Bollywood makes even those that think outside of the box, sheep.

Yeah, why isn't he directing.. there is need for good directors and with movies like Dil Chahta Hai and Don, where he showed his talent as a director, he needs to develop on it and get back to it. Instead he is acting in mediocre movies.

like many others he also wants to act and thinks he has a great singing voice when he really does not. I think he is trying everything after he got a divorce. Enjoying single life and pretending to be a young 20 year old.😆 He really needs to get back to directing

I don't mind Farhan the actor, he has excellent comic timing and does carry himself well in serious situations, but singing well he should leave it. Rock On 1 songs were sensations but they were because they were unique, not because Farhan sings well. But he definitely requires to direct now, not Don but something revolutionary.
