Geetha Phogat to get married,Aamir to attend function

Preparations are on in full swing in the Phogat household. Not to celebrate an upcoming movie that honours the wrestling champs, sisters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari, but for Geeta's wedding with wrestler Pawan Kumar on November 20.

The 27-year-old gold-medalist's excitement knows no bounds, as she will get blessings from none other than actor Aamir Khan, whom she has met several times during the film's shoot. Aamir's character in Dangal is based on Geeta's father Mahavir Singh Phogat's passion for wrestling.

About Aamir being on the guestlist, Mahavir tells us: "I spoke to Aamir ji on Wednesday, and he will attend the wedding along with director Nitesh Tiwari. Tayaari bahut achi tarah chal rahi hai. The Sangeet and Mehendi is on November 19." The wedding will take place in Charkhi Dadri, situated about 15km from their home in Haryana's Balali village.

All praise for Bollywood's Mr perfectionist, Mahavir says, "I have met Aamir ji around eight times. We used to spend six hours together talking about my life. He gives me a lot of respect. Aamir ji aur unki wife ne apne haath se daal ke khaana bhi khilaya hai (Aamir and wife have also lovingly served food to us)."
