As Shah Rukh Khan celebrates his 51st birthday at his bungalow in Alibaug, son Aryan sends an adorable message on Instagram.

Shah Rukh Khan has chosen to walk away from sound and fury to celebrate a quiet 51st birthday with his family and close friends. In fact, he has left the hustle and bustle of Mumbai behind to ring in his special day in Alibaug. SRK, his wife Gauri, daughter Suhana and son AbRam are all present in Alibaug which is a short distance away from Mumbai. On the guest list are Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Imtiaz Ali, Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Kajal Aanand and Chunkey Pandey. Unlike every year, Shah Rukh won't be holding any press meets or meeting his fans this birthday. He has rather chosen to keep it a highly private affair.

While little details are available about his exact birthday plans, reports said SRk chose to mark his day at his plush Alibaugh bungalow, newly done up by wife Gauri. SRK's family was also snapped at Amitabh Bachchan's lavish Diwali party. But elder son Aryan Khan remained conspicuous by his absence. Aryan, who is studying abroad couldn't come for even his father's birthday. But to make sure his wishes were conveyed, he wrote a special note for SRK. Sharing a black-and-white image of the father-son duo on social media, he captioned it as "He can play like a kid, give advice like a friend and protect like a bodyguard. Happy Birthday to you. We love you boss man." Aryan was not around even for his parents' 25th anniversary recently.

Shah Rukh and Gauri are known for throwing lavish parties for their industry friends. And this birthday is definitely special for the actor. His next film Dear Zindagi is gearing up for a release this week. We can't wait to see him as an underworld don in Raees that releases in January 2017. And in the middle of all this, SRK is also wrapping up Imtiaz Ali's next film The Ring, starring Anushka Sharma. Here's wishing Shah Rukh Khan, a very happy birthday.
