her career would have been even better if it was not for her personal life. in an intv she said she was dropped from 5 movies with srk and to think about srk was THE superstar during that time, yes she lost out a lot especially when she was at the peak of her career. nevertheless the way she faced the adversities and has risen is commendable. thats the sign of a winner. ⭐️

thank god she didn't do more films with shah at least. rani in chalte chalte was TOP!

zinta and rani are better actors than ash any given day.

WELL...

Raja Hindustani - the film was in the making since 1993. At the time Aishwarya had just begun modelling, she wasn't sure about the acting profession. She refused several other film offers around this time.

DTPH - Yash Chopra offered her the role but he wanted block-dates from her, which she wasn't able to commit to as she had already signed Iruvar + Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya.

KKHH - again, date issue. Karan offered it to her but she was busy with Aa Ab Laut Chalen.

K3G - I'm not sure what the issue was here, I don't even know if it was Rani's role or Kareena's..(?)

Asoka - don't know the reason - maybe her date diary was full?

Chalte Chalte - she actually shot about 50% of the film but famously Salman disrupted shooting so many times that SRK (also co-producer) decided to re-shoot with her then best friend Rani Mukerji...

Veer Zaara - Ash was first choice for Zaara - but after the Chalte Chalte fiasco, SRK's relationship with Ash was so sour so Yash had to find a replacement. The film also went to Kajol but she refused. Rani lobbied hard for the lead role but Yash-ji felt she didn't look the part, so it fell in Preity's lap.

Mangal Pandey + KANK - not sure about the reasons for these. Dates again?

Happy New Year - refused because she thought it would be weird for fans for her husband to also be in the film but not be paired with her. Same reason she refused Dostana (well similar)

Baabul + Bajirao - Salman!
