totally agree...one should love their country above everything...but also have the logical bone in them...

for me, my country is above everything...but i know it has its own faults too...but one thing i can vouch for is that it wont send terrorist to other countries.

As happens with lot of BW issues on the thread.

A hypothetical situation...If tomorrow there is a terrorist attack in Pakistan...and Pakistan blames India for it and somehow makes the world believe that India had its hand in that attack...trust me...we would have a difficult time admitting and condemning that attack...we might do so among us Indians...but will we go on a Pakistani forum and condemn it?...no..I don't think so...and again its just a HYPOTHETICAL situation...

1. Has INDIA BANNED all PAKISTANI from visiting india?

2. Have they cancelled all PAKSITANI Visas?

3. Have they declared every citizen of PAKISTAN a TERRORIST?

If yes, then ban all pak members here, else question our own goverment 1st before questioning them.

India is a free country , unless GOI decrees these artists will stay and nobody can harm them. But it is precisely why whenever the tensions between the two countries increase, they are advised to do what is best for them ..which is to return back. We are not America or Russia. We are two complicated countries who share a tense border and have a persistent active problem which gets flared up everytime there is terrorist attacks . Cultural exchange has survived all these years, 3 wars, proxy war and what not, it will live on ..especially when things like internet and easy access be there. It's commonsense, Indians,Pakistan actors are living in a region where this political turmoil is happening. like they are asked about various issues, social causes..they would be asked about this too. It's their will if they want to talk , or not. Just like it's public's will what it expects from them.

The bloody ban-ban is played by that group who has a major stake in BW. I have , personally, no opinion of this mutual idiosyncrasy.

As far as common public is concerned , like anyone else they don't owe anyone any explanation unless they want to present one . Similarly, it is equally understandable when a common Indian see Hafiz on a new channel or Azhar treated so normally by Pakistani state ..it does reflect on the whole country. Just like Osama living in a military area did ., so much so America didn't bother asking Pakistan to hand him over, but send their own people down to their town and killed him- when we cite America's example , please remember it can do that and get away with it as well.

Atif, so many musicians keep coming back and there is always an exchange when normalcy prevails. Right now, it's not normal..let it be , if we truly respect, care and want peace.
