The same old fluff. Not impressed.
The problem is pakistan's foreign policy has always been India centric. It has not been so with India, no matter what pakistani media reports. You just have to listen to people or read authors who have been studying South Asian politics.

Pakistan's thousand cuts policy anyone?
There is no way pakistan army's India obsession can be matched by the Indians.

Tired of these candy floss explanations. Call a spade a spade and get done with it.

For me personally, the west is ahead of us only because of the way we are divided.. the day the situation between these countries get sorted, it will do both the countries a world of good

seriously - "surgical strikes in Uri"... there goes the credibility of her post

the bigger message would have been just one simple line - I condemn the terrorist attacks in Uri.
bas...khatam...khallas...that would have been all that was needed...
but instead she chose to share a long essay that is filled with discrepancies and false claim only to latch on to people's sentiments...

But she is not commenting about the URI attack at all.. The heading of the article is misleading.. She shared a post commenting on the equation of boht the countries.. You can still be angry at her for not condemning the attack but frankly, the post does not focus on the attack but more on the equation of the two countries

This is just one article.. I have read quite a few similar ones.. Don't know the truth but they were quite rampant on the internet at one point

FYI.
Beef incident was in state named Uttar pradesh. Other incident was about Dalit student commiting suicide. But it has lot of loopholes. In South one flower seller hindu guy was beaten up as he saw some muslims taking cows away in a vehicle. And coz of these events, whole Intolerance saga started.

There was riots in Gujarat in 2002. Muslims burned alive Hindus returning from Ayodhya. (City where Hindus and Muslims have dispute over some Land for Mandir/Masjid since years) in the train and then riots broke out & angered hindus killed muslims. Worst nightmare. I am not justifying anything but this was the sequence. (I lived there at the time of riots)

I think writer mixed beef incident and riots.

I know it's about the equation of the two countries and i was even about to shed a tear or two until i read the Gujarat beef massacre claim...

the equation of the two countries has drastically changed after uri so how can one expect to ignore condolences for Uri and yet expect that the equation between the two countries will become normal cos they expect that eventually uri will become just another incident in our textbooks...

she is taking our equation way too lightly... and i don't even know if it's intentional... but I chose to believe it's not ...for the sake of my own peace of mind.

I know it has changed but hey there is always hope😊 I don't think its intentional though
As for the incident in the text book part, one way to look at it would be k it is important enough to become a part of history.. So much happens between both the countries but its the major changing events that become history and maybe thats what she was trying to say?

How can there be peace then between Pak and any country? Pak citizens also are affected by these attacks and hence till these camps continue to exist in the presence of the Government, we cannot expect anyone to be at peace when and where innocents are losing their lives in such attacks. The post doesn't even ridicule the Uri attack nor does it talk about it and mentions it will be forgotten in 20 years.

This morning a very good friend of mine who lives in Houston said that a Pakistani called the Indian radio station my friend was listening to and praised Modi for the surgical strikes at LOC to wipe out the terrorist camps so that pakistan can also progress like India. The guy was not happy with the radio host for believing in the Gandhi-an philosophy.

So I think there are pakistanis who feel this way about these terrorists but I guess they can talk against them only when living out of their country.

For all its drawbacks, in India everyone is at least free to express their opinion. Yes they get bashed on TV and social media but there is no threat to their lives and way of living no matter what.
