I liked Rocketsingh and lakshya but I watched them very late not when they released... their promos or songs didn't appeal to me then and I was shocked when I watched these two specially lakshya what a movie 👍🏼

I think whoever watches these two likes them.. Both are great movies with good content.. Promotions is where they both lacked.. audience didn't go to theatres in the first place... it was like khana achha tha lekin parosa dhang se nahi tha

Edit - I meant good content will surely work if u market it well or the right way

good content which has some entertainment value and alist actors does win most of the times. But there can be a debate that what is a good content?Everyone has different taste so what I feel is gold can be trash to u

No.. Vishal Bhardwaj's movies have good content but the best was Haider as average.. all the rest are flop or below average...

Bollywood is a star driven industry..how many times this must be reminded

yes content always wins provided u also know
ur target audience.one has to develop the product
for the targeted consumer to get success n nt pretend
that the movie is for everyone.u have to be specific that we
made this movie for this genre loving ppl ..
if u make a movie for gopi bahu audience n
try sell it to college students it will never work 😆

No.

Good content has to be backed up by clever promotions, selling it to the target audience, WOM, critics reviews, creating a hype that the particular movie is the best thing to happen in cinema that year.

If all these things are not there nowadays, good content movies fail.

I think its mostly majority wins. For me BBD was a good movie but it flopped so bad. I didn't find Mohenjodaro all that bad either but still it failed to impress . I hated Sultan & it turned out to be the biggest hit. So the concept of good content varies from person to person & sadly I am not in the majority it seems

No.

Not in Bollywood. Which is sad. I remember watching 'A Wednesday' once on television and thinking to myself, if only such movies worked. Movies with tight scripts actually are pretty underrated in BW in my honest opinion. Whereas if an average script has a huge star, it'll be praised to no end.

What I love about the Western part of the world is that, it's the movie/story/execution that works, not the star. Bad movies are thrashed irrespective of who the leads are.
